That was Leah and I talking yesterday after our practice for today’s praise & worship. Leah is probably my closest friend right now. She’s so real and full of enthusiasm and she’s fun to be with.

Today is the start of a month long celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Glory to the Lord Fellowship, the new name of the Quezon City congregation of The Worldwide Church of God (WCG). The start of celebration was great! I hope I made everyone I’ve greeted feel welcomed. Leah and I were the greeters for today. (Hindi kasi nakarating si Jeanie because she is not feeling well kaya ako ang substitute.)
Ako dapat ang magklo-closing prayer pero hindi alam ni Ting (our worship leader for the day) na si Alan ang dapat na mago-opening prayer. (Hindi si Alan ang nag-lead ng opening prayer kaya sya na lang ang pinag-closing prayer ni Leova.) Next week, the singles will sing a beautiful song (We Are Family). I don’t know the exact lyrics… I’m not so good in memorizing:((
WCG has been a part of my life since childhood. Things were very different now compared to about a decade ago. From salvation by good works, to salvation by grace. From being labeled a cult, to becoming an evangelical denomination committed in spreading the gospel. The church is fast becoming a front runner in sending missionaries here and abroad to share the gospel to the lost. The Holy Spirit has blessed and touched the hearts of members to serve Jesus and be a blessing to the lost.
Next Friday will be the 5th of 8 Fridays that I will attend the Condensed World Mission Course (CWMC). CWMC is an overview of what world mission is all about. It helps students learn the biblical, historical, strategic and cultural dimensions of the Great Commission.
On the third week, I thought of not finishing the course. I’ll just take the course on some other time but somehow God has told me to finish it now. It is not for me, but for him. I don’t know what is God’s plan for me, but I will faithfully follow his will.
After the service, (service is what we call what catholic call mass) we went to SM North to watch Imelda. Kasama ko si Tammy, Yas, Ate Ester and Leah. Si Leova ayaw sumama, may sumpong kasi. Ayaw ko nga sana panoorin pero maganda naman daw sabi ni Ting (the movie exceeded my expectations).
After ng sine, sinamahan ko si Leah na maghanap ng regalo para sa binyag. (Pinagkamalan na naman kaming mag-asawa/bf-gf kanina, tsk tsk tsk.) We next went to National para bumili ng ticket for Lea Salonga’s concert series sa Meralco Theater. Sya lang dapat mag-isang manonood, pero kakalungkot naman manood mag-isa kaya nag-volunteer na lang ako na samahan sya. What are friends for? haha.
P.S. Pinag-apply ako ni Leah ng credit card para may extra point daw branch nila kung sakaling ma-approve application ko. Sana nga lang hindi ako mabaon sa utang.
